One of the great benefits of being a member of the Young Farmer Organization is the chance to develop one’s leadership skills. Whether it’s serving as a local chapter officer or being a member of the state officer team, the experiences of being an officer are invaluable.
Serving on the CYFEA state officer team can be a very rewarding experience. The time requirement is much less than you might think. State officers get the opportunity to promote the Young Farmer Program at several events throughout the year, meet various government officials, make visits to the local chapters, plan the state institute and much much more.
Each year at the State Institute members in good standing with the organization have the opportunity to submit applications for office. Nominations from the floor are also accepted and the delegate body elects a new officer team.
